Decaffeinated in Colombia, this decaf is processed utilizing the solvent ethyl acetate that is naturally extracted from fermented sugar cane. The coffee is soaked in the E.A. solution which bonds to chlorogenic acid allowing for removal of caffeine. The seeds are then pulled from the bath and steamed to remove the Ethyl Acetate leaving a lovely finished product with all the flavor but none of the caffeine. This coffee is juicy and sweet with flavors of cherry, toffee, and caramel.
